| John Leone, SVP and General Manager of Pharmaceutical Corp (Pharmaceutical Corp Pharmaceuticals) recently realigned the US sales organization focusing it on specific customer segments and strategic products. Now the sales force in the worlds largest market will be able to work more effectively than before. Selling more and improving the top line are the Companys first priorities for 1998and the US realignment is a concrete example of the plans being taken to accomplish this. Under the new set up, the Oncology Division remains unchanged, but the balance of the US sales effort will:
Spearhead RPRs entry into the area of Womens Health with new HRT products. Capitalize on new indications for Lovenox, principally for unstable angina, and Support Synercid the Companys groundbreaking new antibiotic.
Changes in the existing sales forces were made by shifting sales representatives to more strategically important areas. An infectious disease sales force was added. Pharmaceutical Corps goals for 1998 are to grow the US business by 9% and increase sales to $1.1 billion. |
