Here is a sample Project Plan document for
a recent contract. It is a detailed data
flow with estimates for the supporting
pieces. It took about 3 days to do the
interviews and estimate (which the
client paid for) and the results were
excellent. I would need to do something
similar for you to achieve any kind of
accuracy.
And in the future,
this Project Plan forms a basis for the
documentation, so a year from now you'll
know how to make changes and maintain
the systems.

Estimates
I provide estimates
much as an architect creates a drawing
for a building. The architect's client
purchases this "design", and is welcome
to shop for bids from building
contractors. Since I, much like the
architect, have no prior commitment to
implement the design, the estimates and
assumptions are realistic - there's no
"bait and switch" with subsequent
surprise budget changes.

Out-of-Area Contracts
I do take contracts
out-of-area with companies equipped to
handle telecommuting. If your company is
open to off-site, out-of-area work, I'd
be interested in speaking further.
"Simple", "Easy", or "Quick" Projects
If your project is
"Simple", "Easy", or "Quick", I can
refer you to someone who specializes in
those types of projects. Because of my
background, I typically take projects
that are too difficult for your average
contractor.
