the InfoWeb
sight on the
RPR global
intranet. I
appreciate
the
professionalism
and alacrity
you showed
in
responding
to our
pressing
needs with
such short
deadlines. I
won’t

What
is involved
in building
a site like
this?
The
Communications
InfoWeb was
developed
for Rhone-Poulenc
Rorer, a
major
international
pharmaceutical
company.
This is a
prototype of
the actual
site, which
is on a
secure
intranet.
This site
showcases
the high
level of
design and
analysis
needed to
create an
effective
intranet and
help
management
determine
its most
effective
use. InfoWeb
has provided
a common
place where
employees of
RPR can
quickly and
effectively
share ideas
with one
anther from
their
offices
around the
world. As it
grows, it
offers the
potential to
foster
dynamic
employee
exchange
about the
current and
future
developments
at RPR,
including
up-to-date
information
on competing
products and
companies.
What types of software technologies are used on this site?
Since the actual site is on a secure intranet, this link uses the prototype as a viewable example. The more sophisticated intranet prototype contained significantly enhanced membership, document search and calendar capability using NT Active Server Pages with Internet Information Server 4.0 and Site Server 3.0. The site you are about to view is the prototype used to design the final site, and bears many similarities to the final product.
